MISSION
To build a more progressive Connecticut through issue advocacy and the strategic recruitment, mentoring, and support of progressive women to run in targeted, winnable elections at the state level.
There is no better time for women to get involved in government—to build the coalitions ensuring women’s voices are heard in Hartford, in local government, and in Washington. Voting, rallies, outreach to legislators—these are all critical for our democracy. But, to truly be represented, we must also be in the seats at all levels of government. I encourage women to seek those seats on local governing boards, in higher office and at all levels of the decision-making process.
Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman
Considering the current climate in America, it is more important than ever for women of color to lean in and involve themselves in the decisions that are made at the tables of power. Our voices must be included in decisions that will impact the lives of our children & families.
State Senator Marilyn Moore

The sad and infuriating truth is that even in 2021 we are still forced to debate whether the hair that grows naturally out of some peoples’ heads is “appropriate,” “professional,” or “acceptable,” especially for Black and brown people -- women in particular. Hair discrimination is real and the consequences [...]
